The laboratory aims to explore some of the cardinal activities of the ancient world such as war, hunting and other particular crafts, through the examination of the objects reserved for them. In particular, the reconstructions of weapons and tools of ancient age will be shown. They have been reproduced according to the originals both for manufacturing techniques and for materials used. An important focus is reserved to the prehistoric age, to the Gaudo culture of Paestum, with the presentation of flint tools, bone, points, scrapers and lithic splinters. Bows, arrows, axes and knives will be explained in conjunction with insights into technological and military evolution, from prehistory to the Roman age. Hours: every Tuesday at 11:00.
